History
Bybee Pottery may be the oldest continuously operated pottery west of the Alleghenies. Sales records date back to 1845, when the business was operated by the Cornelison family, but it may have been established as early as 1809. The pottery uses clay found nearby and used since early settlement.
Seldon was a salesman for the Bybee Pottery, selling in New York in 1925. Seldon Bybee pottery was made from 1927-1929.
