Greetings campers,back packers,hunters vintage edged tool lovers and collectors !
For your consideration is a small hatchet stamped Union Tool Co Charleston WV USA.
This old hatchet appears to be hand forged and is in pretty good condition for its age.
It measures 14-3/8” long and weighs 1 lb 14.1 ounces with the handle.
The head measures 5-1/4” blade to poll.
The blade edge measures 3-1/4” and the poll is approximately 2” tall by 1” thick.
The handle is in pretty good condition and is tight to the head.
There is a little bit of rolling on the edges of the poll.
