1953 THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS WASHINGTON DC FIRST AID INSTRUCTION CHARTS
FEATURING 4 ILLUSTRATION ARTWORK PRINTS BY ARTIST PAULINE M. LARIVIERE (SKELETON, MUSCULATURE, INTERNAL ORGANS & CIRCULATORY SYSTEM), 1 POISONOUS SNAKES CHART BY ARTIST DORIS M. COCHRAN PHD, PHOTOS OF POLICE, BOY SCOUTS AND NURSES FROM THE PERIOD AND INTERESTING TRAINING INSTRUCTION
    EACH POSTER MEASURES 28"x40"
I bought this set at an estate auction, found hidden away in the basement of the home. There are 14 charts bound at the top with a metal bar and wing nuts. I did not take them apart. There are 27 total instructional pages (not counting cover or blanks). There are 9 charts that are illustrated (8 with full page illustrations or pictures) and each of those only has type written word instructions on the opposite side, so if you were wanting to frame and display only the illustrated ones, you will be able to do so without having a picture chart on the back. The material appears to be a thick coated paper intended to be able to be wiped with a damp cloth. I only wiped off the front cover so you will want to dust and or wipe off the rest as there is some dust and dirt present. These were found in the original mailing packaging with the charts rolled tight and in a tube, so they are a bit curled at the bottom but I do believe they will flatten out once hung and left hanging on the display stand but definitely will lay flat nicely if matted and framed. The adjustable tripod stand was in the box you see and that box inserted next to the tube in the outer brown paper packaging (the tube, box & packaging is worn and tattered). The mailing label is addressed to American Red Cross Massillon Ohio Chapter. There is some wear, especially on the first several charts along right side. Again, if displaying these separately and in a frame, you could cover those edges and have beautiful pieces of artwork! The stand is adjustable up to a full height (over 6 feet) but in the pictures you'll notice I only have it opened up enough to let the posters hang to the table. This is a true "flip-chart" whereas the instructor would flip the first 14 charts then swivel the charts around and begin at the back flipping forward for a total of 27 page presentations. There are 62 pictures to look through. Selling as is. Thanks!
    GREAT ITEM, GREAT COLLECTIBLE!
