    Description

Nice older Open Road style Stetson.  I believe the material is called straw but I have seen it referred to as hemp.  Good leather band with attached 3 piece chin strap.  There is a hole in the front that is intended for, and I imagine at one time held, a badge of some sort.  It might have been a Scout leaders hat but the green color leads me to think it might have been US Forest Service, Park Service or maybe a Warden's hat.  It is size 7 1/8 and I measured the inside circumference at about 22 1/8".  The rise of the "dome" is about 4 1/2" and the brim is 2 1/2" all the way around.  The interior leather band is in good condition and lightly soiled.  There is an impressed round mark on one side of the band that I can't make out.
Overall, the hat is in very nice condition with no tears, dents or cuts.  The color might be faded a bit but I do not know how dark the green was originally.
Lots of photos should help you determine.
A note on sizing:  I am selling this hat as a collectible.  But, if someone wants to wear it - it is MARKED size 7 1/8 and the inside circumference is about 22 1/8".  The hat is not flexible.  If you are a size bigger than 7 1/8 it won't fit.  If you are a size 7 1/8 it might not fit.  Please measure your head before bidding because once purchased, it is yours.

Buyer to pay actual Priority shipping.
I ship within 1 day of payment barring any crazy weather. When possible I combine items to save on shipping.
PLEASE pay or contact me within 2 days of purchase.  If not, I do file Non Paying Bidder reports with eBay.  That is the only way I can get my commission back if I am not paid.
A couple of other notes if you'd like to read them: Our home is smoke free and pet free. That said, it doesn't mean that the items I sell have never had a passing relationship with some sort of odor. If I notice it I will state it in the description.  If you can smell someone in Wyoming light a cigarette while you are driving east across Tennessee, you might notice an odor I don't. (I have actually had someone ask if I could certify that the box, tape and packing material I use were odor free (I can't).)
I do the best I can to honestly describe what I sell.  HOWEVER, I am not an expert on most things - my wife will happily attest to that fact - so if you have questions, please ask.  I will be happy to answer questions to the best of my ability.
