This is truly a very nice axe. I cleaned and oiled some. I didn't want to take away the aging. There are some small rust spots, nothing terrible. I believe the axe head could be cleaned up to a shine if wanted. On the bottom of the axe head it has what looks like to me 1 3/4 ??? I think 1 3/4 pounds ??? The numbers are partly stamped. It has a beautifully aged handle. The handle markings are very good and almost all there. I only see two or three very small chips on the top of the handle by the axe head. It measures about 22 1/2" long.
The only real flaw I see is a very small like separation in the metal on top of the axe head. I think it is from the making of the axe head ??? You should be able to see in the third and last picture. I don't think this axe was ever used much ??? I think this is a very collectable piece!!!
