Might be part Griffin symbol and half other animal.
Most experts would recognize this symbol.
I inherited this piece from my great grandmother. This piece is not numbered. Online, I found a pair of Candle holders that were marked with this same emblem and was auctioned as W.B. Mfg. Co. (Weidlich Brothers).
A beautiful etched floral design with elegant lines and leaf swirls.
This entire vase measures approximately 11” tall and 3” diameter at bottom.
The opening of the glass vase measures approximately 2 ¼”.
W.B. which stands for Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company operated in Bridgeport, Connecticut from 1901 until the 1950’s. W.B. Mfg. Co. (Weidlich Bros) of Connecticut has been well documented in the Silversmith journals of well known artisans of the Art Nouveau period.
Condition is good with no dents.
The vase was rarely used and stored in a cool, dry side board curio. This set belonged to my great grandmother and features its original patina and has not been cleaned recently or polished.
