Description
Williamsburg Restoration Pottery Yellowware Coin BankThis reproduction bulb bank was handmade at the Williamsburg Pottery in Williamsburg, VA as an authentic reproduction for Colonial Williamsburg. Based off of actual archaeological excavations in Colonial Williamsburg, this 3.5” tall clay piece is glazed in rich yellow and embellished with brown polkadots. It has a crooked slot cut in the top side to deposit coins, but no cork, plug, or other way to remove them. It is stamped on the unglazed foot with the Williamsburg Restoration logo, and includes its original informational booklet.
Skillfully handmade, this charming and unusual piece will add a bit of color and whimsy to any collection!
Condition:
The bank is in excellent condition. It has no chips, cracks, or scratches. All-over crazing adds to its primitive colonial charm, while not impacting the functionality of the piece. The unglazed foot shows some marks/dirt.
