Take your sharpening to the next level with the “XTREME EDGE” lapping film slider kit. Nice 3D printed design for the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener system. Go beyond the 600 grit ceramic to get a razor sharp honed edge for your knives and tools.
Unlike the cheaper competitor this slider is made to have 3 flat (no crown or dip) sides because of the way it’s made... giving a more uniform hone to the edge.
With this slider, you can easily mount the included PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) lapping films to a dedicated surface instead of using the ceramic stone that comes with the sharpener.
Using this will allow you to save time by not having to peel and stick films to your ceramic stone every time you change grits. You will also preserve the films adhesive from excessive use.
With films mounted to this slider, it is also possible to grind both directions (up and down) on the blade with minimal risk of cutting into the films.
PRO TIP: If you're careful not to drag too far down off the edge of your blade, you may also use a neodymium magnet on the end of the guide rod in lieu of the rubber stopper ring to make swapping sliders even more quick and easy!
