WW II German Aircraft Cockpit Sitzgurt - PILOT SEAT BELT - EARLY TYPE - Me109 E

Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Lap Belt!  An EARLY variant, this type is typical for the Me109 E. Used throughout the war in almost all fighter aircraft including the Me109, Fw190, Me262, Ju87, Me110, and others!
Made of heavy cotton, leather, and steel, this lap belt set is in EXCELLENT used condition!
All ink stamps and manufacture labels remain (though a bit faded), indicating a production date on 1937, with a secondary ink/inspection stamp of 1943.  There are some stains and corrosion on the steel fittings.  Leather is a bit dry, so I would suggest the winning bidder treat the material accordingly.  This is the ONLY version I have seen with leather (all others I have seen are simply a combination  of cotton and Ersatz material).  The triangular attachments on each belt strap suggest this specific set was originally installed on an Me109 E (see last photos for reference).   A VERY RARE and seldom seen item which would make a SUPERB addition to any collection, display, or restoration project.
